Online Quran Classes for Beginners: No Arabic Knowledge Required
Starting the Quran when you have no Arabic background feels intimidating. Most people have no frame of reference for how Arabic works, what the letters look like, or how the sounds are formed. Many have tried apps or online videos and found they stalled. The sounds are difficult to produce correctly without someone listening and telling them whether they are right or wrong.
The one thing an app or a video cannot do is hear you.
Online Quran classes for beginners at eQuran Classes solve this from the first session. A certified tutor listens to every sound you produce, tells you immediately whether it is correct, demonstrates how to position your mouth or throat to produce the right sound, and makes you repeat it until it is right. That feedback loop is what makes correct Arabic pronunciation learnable for non-Arabic speakers.

Where Every Beginner Starts: Noorani Qaida
The correct and only starting point for a complete beginner is Noorani Qaida Course. This is not a beginner course we created. It is the standard primer used in Muslim communities worldwide for over a century.

The Most Common Beginner Questions: Answered
Starting from the beginning is normal. Your course starts from your current level, whether that means the first Arabic letter or rebuilding reading skills learned years ago.
Do I need to know any Arabic to start?
No. Zero knowledge is the correct starting point for Noorani Qaida. The course begins at the alphabet.
I grew up Muslim but never learned to read. Is it too late?
No. Adults who grew up Muslim but never learned to read Arabic independently are among our most common and most motivated students. The one-to-one format removes the embarrassment of starting at the beginning as an adult.
I’m a convert. Can I start with no Islamic background?
Yes. Our new Muslim program is taught entirely in English with no assumed Islamic knowledge. The first session starts at the very first Arabic letter.
My child is 4 years old. Is that too young?
Age 4 is actually the ideal starting age for Noorani Qaida. At this age, sessions are 20 to 25 minutes and structured like a learning game, visual, repetitive, and shaped around a young child’s attention span.
How quickly will I progress?
Most adult beginners who practice 10 to 15 minutes daily between sessions complete Noorani Qaida in 2 to 3 months. Children take 3 to 6 months depending on age and practice consistency.
Why Beginners Specifically Need One-to-One Teaching
The errors that form in the beginner stage are the hardest to correct later. An adult who learns the sound of the Arabic letter ع (Ain) incorrectly in the first week will practice the wrong sound for the next three months. By the time they reach the Quran, the wrong sound is locked in.
A one-to-one tutor catches the error in the first session and corrects it before it becomes a habit. A group class, a YouTube video, or a self-paced app has no mechanism to tell you that your sound is wrong.
The beginner feedback loop
Your tutor hears every letter you pronounce.
Incorrect sounds are identified immediately.
You repeat the sound with guidance until it is correct.
Correct pronunciation becomes the habit from the beginning.
