Our Tutors: Verified Credentials, Real Teaching Experience
The most important factor in your child’s Quran education is not the platform, the price, or the marketing. It is the teacher.
At eQuran Classes, every tutor goes through credential verification before they teach their first session. Here is exactly what that means and why it matters.

What We Verify: And How
There is no national licensing board for Quran teachers in the United States. Anyone can write “certified Quran teacher” in a profile. We verify manually, before a tutor teaches, through three channels:
Document Verification
The tutor provides credential documents, Ijazah certificate, Sanad document, Wifaq ul Madaris degree, or Al-Azhar affiliation documentation. We review these for authenticity.
Institutional Confirmation
Where possible, we confirm credentials with the issuing institution or through the tutor’s documented scholarly chain.
Teaching Assessment
Every tutor demonstrates their teaching methodology in an observed trial session. A credential is necessary but not sufficient, a scholar who cannot teach children effectively is not placed in children’s sessions.
The Three Credentials We Accept
Ijazah with Sanad
The authenticated chain of Quranic transmission, documented through named scholars tracing back to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Ijazah is not a course completion certificate, it is a direct line of transmission across centuries.
What Is Ijazah?Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia Certification
Founded in 1959, affiliated with over 25,000 madaris, the Alimiyyah degree is formally recognized as equivalent to MA/MS by Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission. Represents 6 to 8 years of structured Islamic scholarship.
Al-Azhar University Affiliation
Founded in 972 CE in Cairo, Al-Azhar is the oldest continuously operating Islamic university in the world. Graduates and those trained under Al-Azhar-certified scholars hold the most internationally recognized qualification in Islamic scholarship.
Founder and Academic Leadership
Abu Eisa Muhammad
Our Founder
Abu Eisa Muhammad, Hafiz, Alim, MPhil Scholar, Tajweed Master Trainer, and Ijazah holder. Abu Eisa founded eQuran Classes to address a specific gap: qualified Quranic instruction for Muslim families in the West who had access to Islamic community but not to consistent, verified, one-to-one teaching. He oversees the teaching methodology and tutor verification process.
Female Tutors: Same Standards
Every female tutor holds the same credential standard as male tutors, Hafiza certification plus Wifaq ul Madaris or Al-Azhar-affiliated Tajweed training. The requirement does not change based on gender. Female tutors are available for all courses.

FAQ: Our Tutors
How do I know the tutor is actually qualified?
Every tutor’s credentials are verified before they teach. You can ask for details of your assigned tutor’s specific credentials, credential type, issuing institution, year of completion, at any point.
Can I change my tutor if it is not the right fit?
Yes. Contact us after the trial sessions and we will arrange a new match before any paid plan begins.
Does the same tutor stay for the full program?
Yes. This is a formal policy.
